About GiftBox Britain

Why we started

Most gift hampers are assembled by machine, wrapped in cellophane, and filled with whatever was cheapest that month. We wanted to sell the opposite: a small range, a short list of things in each box, and every item chosen because it is good rather than because it fills a gap.

So we keep the catalogue deliberately small. Six boxes, each built around one clear idea, rather than forty that overlap.

How a box is put together

Everything is packed by hand at our London base. Boxes are rigid and reusable, not folded card. Ribbon is real satin. The tissue and crinkle paper are recyclable, and we do not use plastic cellophane on any box.

Each box includes a blank card so you can write the message yourself, or we will write it for you if you add one at checkout. Nothing showing a price goes inside a box that is being sent as a gift.

What we will not do

• Substitute a cheaper item without telling you
• Photograph a box that looks different from the one we send
• Pad a box with filler to make it look fuller than it is
• Pass your details to anyone who wants to market to you
