Changing your mind
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order within fourteen days of receiving it, without giving a reason. You then have fourteen days from telling us to send the goods back.
We refund the price you paid for the goods plus the £5 delivery charge you paid on the original order. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
What cannot be returned
The same regulations exclude certain goods from the right to cancel. These exclusions apply to some of what we sell:
- Perishable food. Chocolate, biscuits, preserves, fudge and coffee cannot be returned once dispatched, because they are liable to deteriorate or expire quickly.
- Sealed hygiene and cosmetic products. Bath salts, body butter, soap and bath bombs cannot be returned once the seal has been broken, for health protection reasons. Unopened and still sealed, they can be.
- Personalised items. Anything made or engraved to your specification cannot be returned unless it is faulty.
This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, faulty, out of date or not as described. Those rights apply to everything we sell, food included.
If something is faulty or damaged
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you have thirty days from delivery to reject them for a full refund.
For breakages in transit, email us within forty-eight hours of delivery with photographs of the outer box and the damaged contents. We will send a replacement or refund you and we will not ask you to post anything back.
How to start a return
- Email contact@giftboxbritain.com with your order number and what you would like to return. You can use the form below, but you do not have to.
- We reply within one working day with a returns reference and the return address.
- Pack the items in their original packaging, write the reference clearly on the outside, and post them back using a tracked service.
- Keep your proof of postage until your refund appears. Until the parcel reaches us, it remains your responsibility.
